Civil engineering is the profession in which a knowledge of the mathematical and physical sciences gained by study, experience, and practice is applied with judgment to develop ways to utilize, economically, the materials and forces of nature for the progressive well-being of humanity in creating, improving, and protecting the environment, in providing facilities for community living, industry and transportation, and in providing structures for the use of humanity The department of civil engineering of Dumkal Institute of Engineering and Technology aims to provide outstanding engineering education to meet present industry-institute relation through which they can share their knowledge in the engineering field to build up the nation. The department aims to provide undergraduate students with a strong, Class room based, engineering education which gives them the basic engineering skills that allow them to work with complex systems with technological, social and environmental components.
